Mayalab Instrument

MAYALAB Kipp’s Apparatus is a traditional laboratory instrument used for the preparation of small quantities of gases through the reaction of a solid with a liquid acid. It is widely used in chemistry laboratories for producing gases like hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide.

Features:

• Three-Chamber Design: Consists of three interconnected bulbs (upper, middle, and lower) made of glass or plastic for safe gas generation.

• Controlled Reaction: Gas is produced only when the acid from the top chamber comes in contact with the solid reactant in the middle chamber.

• Gas Outlet: Fitted with a stopcock or nozzle to collect and control the flow of gas.

• Safe & Efficient: Prevents backflow of liquid and minimizes gas leakage.

• Durable Construction: Available in borosilicate glass for chemical resistance and long service life.

• Preparation of Hydrogen gas (using zinc + dilute HCl).

• Generation of Carbon dioxide (using marble chips + dilute HCl).

• Production of Hydrogen sulfide (using iron sulfide + dilute H₂SO₄).
