The Charles’s Law Apparatus is a scientific instrument used in physics laboratories to demonstrate and verify Charles’s Law, which states that the volume of a fixed mass of gas is directly proportional to its absolute temperature, provided the pressure remains constant.

• Glass Capillary Tube with Mercury Plug – A graduated capillary tube sealed at one end and containing a small column of air trapped by a mercury plug.

• Water Jacket / Beaker Setup – The tube is immersed in a water bath to uniformly change the temperature of the trapped air.
