A resonance apparatus is used to locate the resonance positions in air columns. From these resonance positions, it is possible to calculate the speed of sound using the water level (measurements are included on the tube) and the frequency of the tuning fork used. Resonance Apparatus comprises of an S.S tube of dia 25 mm and 1.1 meter long mounted on a wooden Board next to meter scale . The S.S Pipe’s Lower end is welded to a metal side tube whose one end is connected to transparent tube while the other being connected to rubber tubbing .The height of the metal reservoir mounted on C.P Iron Rod can be easily adjusted .
